Xiaomi surprised the tech world by unveiling the edgeless Xiaomi Mi Mix smartphone few weeks back at an event in China. Most of the tech world considered it more of a concept phone before the launch but Xiaomi surprised us more by putting a price tag on it and selling it in limited quantities. Xiaomi Mi Mix sports a 6.4 inch edgeless display with 91.3% screen-to-body ratio, powered by 2.35 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB/256GB storage with MIUI 8 operating system. We have also heard rumors that companies such as Meizu is also working on similar edgeless devices.
It seems that Xiaomi is not holding up on future edgeless devices and today we have spotted a set of images of alleged compact variant of Mi Mix, code-named “Nano”. Even though the leaked images do not offer any information about the new device as they are in powered off condition with black screen, placed along with existing Mi Mix and should be taken with pinch of salt.
The images though come with some details by leakster which suggests that the compact version is code-named “Nano”. In terms of hardware specifications, “Nano” sports a 5.5 inch display instead of 6.4 ich and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 along with 4 GB of RAM. It comes with 64 GB of internal storage, whereas the existing MI Mix variant comes with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB/256GB storage.
