Apple is folding Apple TV and Apple Arcade into iCloud+ for subscribers in India, at no extra cost on top of an existing plan. The catch is that both services are disappearing as standalone subscriptions in India — so if you only wanted one of them, you now have to buy cloud storage to keep it.
The change, confirmed on Apple’s India newsroom page, applies to iCloud+ subscribers in more than 100 countries and regions, rolling out through the end of September. India is on the list, alongside markets including Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Türkiye, and the UAE. The US, UK, Canada, Australia, and several European markets are not included in this expansion.
What Changes for iCloud+ Subscribers in India
Starting this month, anyone paying for iCloud+ in India gets full access to Apple TV’s original shows and films, plus Apple Arcade’s library of more than 200 games, bundled into their existing subscription. Family Sharing extends that same access to up to five family members under one plan.
iCloud+ plans in India start at ₹75 a month for 50GB of storage, with higher tiers available for more space. Apple TV’s catalog includes shows like Ted Lasso, Severance, and Pluribus, along with films such as CODA and F1. Apple Arcade’s line-up spans franchises like Football Manager 26 Touch and NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition alongside originals like Sneaky Sasquatch.
iCloud+ subscribers in India also get Apple Music Select, a set of ad-free curated stations, at no extra cost. A full Apple Music subscription remains a separate add-on, priced at ₹115 a month for an individual plan or ₹145 a month for a family plan.
The Trade-Off Apple Isn’t Leading With
Apple is framing this as free added value, and for anyone already paying for iCloud+, it genuinely is. But the newsroom page also confirms two changes that cut the other way. Apple TV and Apple Arcade will no longer be sold as standalone subscriptions directly through Apple in India. Anyone currently paying for just one of them will have that subscription cancelled and rolled into iCloud+ instead. They now need to pay for cloud storage just to keep watching or playing.
Apple says existing Apple Arcade game saves will carry over, and current standalone subscribers won’t lose access during the transition. But going forward, there’s no way to buy Apple TV or Apple Arcade alone in India — only as part of iCloud+.
Apple is also winding down new sign-ups for Apple One, its all-in-one bundle, in India. Current Apple One subscribers keep their plans, but the bundle is no longer open to new customers there, pushing newcomers toward the iCloud+ bundle instead.
“We’re excited to bring Apple TV and Apple Arcade to iCloud+ users in over 100 countries in one convenient subscription,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services and Health.
One India-Specific Perk: Airtel Postpaid Plans
Apple’s announcement also carries a detail specific to India: iPhone users on eligible Airtel postpaid plans can access the expanded iCloud+ subscription with Apple TV and Apple Arcade through their carrier billing. Customers already getting Apple TV through those Airtel plans can move to the bundled iCloud+ subscription at no extra cost.
Apple says feature and content availability can still vary by device and region, and points users to its feature-availability page for the specifics. For most iCloud+ subscribers in India, the practical result is straightforward. Check the Settings app after this rollout completes. Apple TV and Arcade should simply show up as part of what you’re already paying for.
