The XREAL AURA, the first wired XR glasses running Google’s Android XR, is now on sale in the US. A limited-time launch price of $1,099 applies to the 12GB and 256GB model through December 2026.
That is $180 below the $1,279 list price we reported earlier this month. Shipping is expected to start in mid-November.

XREAL AURA Pricing and Availability
- 12GB + 256GB: $1,099 launch offer (list price $1,279)
- 16GB + 512GB: $1,299 launch offer (list price $1,499)
Both offers run through December 2026 and apply to standalone purchases, not bundles. In the US, you can order from xreal.com/aura or BestBuy.com.
Orders are open now in the US, Canada and South Korea. Japan follows on November 2, according to Google and The Verge. Google says AURA is meant for users aged 18 and up.
India and the EU are not among the launch markets. The Verge reports that broader availability is planned for next year.
If you preordered at the original price, you shouldn’t lose out. Xreal GM and spokesperson Ralph Jodice told The Verge those buyers will be refunded the difference automatically and instantly.
Treat $1,099 as a launch price, not a permanent cut. Once the offer ends after December, Xreal’s own list price puts the base model back at $1,279.
“XREAL AURA is finally here, and we’re so proud to unlock new ways for people to work, watch, play, and build,” said Chi Xu, co-founder and CEO of XREAL.
What You Get With XREAL AURA
AURA is a pair of optical see-through glasses that weighs under 95 g. A cable connects it to a compute puck that holds the battery and processing hardware. The puck also doubles as a trackpad.
Gemini can see what’s in front of you, including a mirrored laptop window. It can now also highlight what you should focus on. Google says a spatial gallery for Google Photos will arrive this year.
Over 150 made-for-XR experiences are available at launch, along with apps from Google Play. Wired Mirroring over USB-C also lets the glasses act as a display for laptops and handhelds.
Xreal also announced two accessories. One is a GameSir-made game controller with a dedicated Gemini key. The other is a wireless portable keyboard. Xreal didn’t give prices or dates for either.
The tradeoffs are worth knowing before you buy. The glasses stay tethered to the puck by a cable. The 70-degree field of view is Xreal’s own figure, not an independent measurement. For a cheaper way into Xreal’s lineup, see the XREAL 1 Pro+ at $599.
