XREAL has finally put a price on the Aura, its first pair of Android XR glasses. The Aura starts at $1,279 for the 12GB/256GB configuration. A 16GB/512GB version costs $1,499. Both numbers are now listed on XREAL’s own US product page. Both also land under the $1,500 ceiling the company had been repeating for weeks without committing to a figure.

That closes the open question from our earlier coverage. When the Aura passed 10,000 reservations in August, the only pricing information XREAL had given was that ceiling of $1,500 before tax. No firm number was attached to any configuration. Now there are two.
XREAL Aura price and availability
The entry configuration pairs 12GB of memory with 256GB of storage at $1,279. Stepping up to 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage costs $1,499. XREAL offers the Aura in medium and large sizes, and the larger size carries no surcharge.
- XREAL Aura 12GB/256GB: $1,279
- XREAL Aura 16GB/512GB: $1,499
- Size options: medium or large, no price difference
Preorders are not live yet. XREAL says they open later in October, and securing one requires a $199 Priority Deposit. The deposit is refundable and counts toward the final purchase price. The company says the first units should reach buyers ahead of the 2026 holiday season. A second wave of deliveries is expected in early 2027.
Two earlier deposit tiers have already sold out, the $299 Founder Priority Pass and the $99 Launch Credit. Anyone joining now is looking at the $199 option.
Why the deposit still deserves caution
A refundable deposit is a softer ask than a full preorder. Getting $199 back off the final bill is not nothing either. The caution we raised in August still applies, though. The Aura has not shipped, and nobody outside XREAL has reviewed it. Paying to hold a place in line means betting on a device whose display quality, long-session comfort, and battery behaviour are all still unknown.
The price at least makes the decision concrete. Anyone weighing that $199 now knows what the full bill looks like, which was not true in August.
