Redmi K30 confirmed to feature dual in-display cameras, dual mode 5G support

Xioami has just confirmed Redmi K30 along with some basic details that indicate a subtle change in the way the K series handles front cameras. As you know Redmi K20 features a popup camera with a full-screen display without notches but the next generation in Redmi K series i.e. the Redmi K30 will feature dual in-display cameras similar to what we have seen in Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.

Redmi K30 dual in-display cameras

The official announcement came during the Company’s launch event of Redmi 8 & Redmi 8A in China and also confirmed by Xiaomi Vice President and Redmi General Manager from his Weibo handle. It also included a teaser that shows the front portion of Redmi K30 along with dual in-display cameras. This marks a departure from the trend of pop-up cameras and Xiaomi appears to be following Samsung in-display camera trend to avoid notch in the display.

Redmi K30 5G support

In addition to camera details, it is also confirmed that it will come with support for 5G stand alone and non-stand alone (SA/NSA) sub-6GHz networks.

At the moment, there are no other details available whether it is hardware specifications or possible official launch date. But keep in mind that Redmi K20 was launched in June 2019 and we may not see its successor for at least six months ( if we consider a minimum of 6 months cycle though we are not sure).

Also, keep in mind that the Redmi K30 Pro design may be entirely different as Xiaomi has avoided teasing any details for the same. Stay tuned at AndroidPure and we will keep you updated.
