itel has launched the City 300 5G in India at Rs 14,999, pairing a 120Hz display with 5G in the budget segment. The phone is sold through offline stores.
That price buys a single configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The real question for buyers is what the phone gives up to reach it.
itel India CEO Arijeet Talapatra framed the launch around budget buyers in smaller towns. As quoted by Fone Arena, he said:
While the demand for 5G connectivity is growing rapidly across Tier 3 to Tier 5 markets, many young buyers still feel 5G is out of reach due to tight budgets or fear overpaying for entry-level devices that compromise on design and screen quality.

- 4GB RAM + 64GB storage: Rs 14,999
The phone is available from offline stores. Neither launch report gives an online sale date. That’s a real limit if you like to compare prices or order online.
According to Gizmochina, itel says it has more than 130,000 outlets and over 1,000 service centres across India. The colour options are Dark Ruby, Mist Beige and Bold Indigo.
What you give up at Rs 14,999
The 6.67-inch screen runs at 120Hz, but it’s an HD+ LCD at 1600×720. RAM is 4GB, and the phone runs Android 16 Go Edition on a Unisoc T8200 chip.
Charging is modest too. Fone Arena reports 10W charging for the 5000mAh battery, with a 10W adapter in the box.
None of this is unusual at the price. These are the trade-offs that make 120Hz and 5G possible under Rs 15,000. Buyers who want sharper text or more room for apps will have to spend more. For a cheaper itel option, the itel A300C launched at Rs 10,999 with a 6,000mAh battery.
