Verizon has started rolling out One UI 9, built on Android 17, to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra. The carrier’s support pages list October 20, 2026 as the release date for all three phones. The Galaxy A37 5G got its One UI 9 build on Verizon a day earlier, on October 19.
This isn’t Verizon’s first One UI 9 release. The carrier pushed the update to the Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6 and S24 FE on October 14. Samsung’s stable build also reached the Galaxy S23, A56, A37 and A27 in Europe on October 19.
Verizon One UI 9 update: builds by phone
Here is what Verizon’s support pages show for each phone.
- Galaxy S24: System Update 38, released October 20, 2026, build CP2A.260605.016.S921USQU6EZIF
- Galaxy S24+: released October 20, 2026, build CP2A.260605.016.S926USQU6EZIF
- Galaxy S24 Ultra: System Update 38, released October 20, 2026, build CP2A.260605.016.S928USQU6EZIF
- Galaxy A37 5G: System Update 7, released October 19, 2026, build CP2A.260605.016.A376USQU5BZI6
Verizon’s changelog for the S24 family names three headline features:
“This software update provides the latest Android OS 17 and One UI 9.0 features including My FanCam, Now Brief, Call Brief, and improvements to user experience.”
The A37 page is shorter and simply lists Android 17 with One UI 9.0. Not every Galaxy AI feature behaves the same across models, so check our breakdown of One UI 9 feature support by phone.
September patch, not October
All four builds carry the September 2026 Android security patch. So even though they landed in late October, they don’t include October’s security fixes. Owners will need a later update to get them.
How to check for the update
- Open Settings on your Galaxy phone.
- Tap Software update.
- Tap Check for updates and follow the prompts if One UI 9 is offered.
Still waiting: Galaxy A36 5G
SamMobile reports a carrier A36 build, but Verizon’s page hadn’t listed it at time of writing. Verizon’s A36 page still shows System Update 15, released September 9, 2026, with the August 2026 patch.
This post covers Verizon’s pages only. Timing on T-Mobile and AT&T may differ.
