Nubia Z11 Mini with Snapdragon 617, 3GB RAM, 5.0-inch FHD, 16MP Sony IMX298 Exmor RS lens, launched for Rs. 12,999 in India

Chinese OEM, ZTE, has launched its mid range phone, the Nubia Z11 Mini, in India. The phone comes with the company’s own technology called, Frame Interactive Technology (FIT), which allows the user to perform various functions using grip and gesture-based control on the device’s frame.


The Nubia Z11 Mini sports a 5.0-inch 1080p Full HD IPS LCD display, with a pixel density of 441 PPI, and a 95% NTSC Color Gamut. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and the device has a 2.5D Arc Glass back panel.

The phone runs on nubia UI 3.9.6 OS, based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, with some neat features like Multiple login, SuperSnap Screenshot tool, etc, and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, with an Adreno 405 GPU. and 3GB of RAM.  The device has 32GB of internal storage, and supports up to 200GB of expandable memory via a microSD card slot.

Photography options on the Z11 Mini inlcudes a 16 megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX 298 Exmor RS sensor, an f.2.0 aperture, PDAF (Phase Detect Auto focus), and a single LED Flash. The selfie lens on the device is an 8 megapixel front camera Sony IMX 179 Exmor R sensor, an f/2.4 aperture, capable of taking 80 degree wide angle shots. Both lenses are BSI (Backlit Illuminated Sensors).  The Z11 Mini is backed by a 2,800 mAh battery.  The phone has a fingerprint scanner on the back which supports long press gestures (for the screen shot tool).
