Verizon is giving eligible customers six months of Google AI Pro at no charge, under a perks announcement published October 14. The release doesn’t list which plans qualify. Verizon’s general terms page for its Google AI Pro perk does, and it adds a rule for anyone who already pays for Google One.

Verizon’s release says “Eligible customers can access six months of Google AI Pro on us”. It pitches the perk as a way to try Google’s AI features at no extra cost. Our earlier report found Gemini 4 Argon in the Gemini app limited to Pro and Ultra subscribers. The same announcement adds one month of Verizon Digital Secure Premium free, which is a separate perk.
Which Verizon plans qualify for Google AI Pro
Verizon’s Pros Bundle terms page lists these eligible phone plans for its Google AI Pro perk:
- Welcome Unlimited
- Unlimited Welcome
- Unlimited Plus
- Unlimited Ultimate
- Simplicity
You also need to be 18 or older and a legal resident of the 50 US states or DC. The terms page is undated and doesn’t mention the six-month free term. It may predate this promotion, so Verizon could apply different terms to it. Some deal sites say Verizon Home Internet customers qualify too, but that plan isn’t on the terms page.
Cancel Google One before you enroll
If you already pay for Google One, Verizon’s terms say you must cancel that subscription before setting up Google AI Pro through Verizon. That applies whether you bought Google One from Google or through a third party. Any value or promotional pricing on your current subscription does not carry over.
This is the line existing Google One subscribers should weigh most carefully. Anyone holding a discounted Google One plan gives up that pricing in exchange for six free months.
What happens after six months
Android Authority puts Google AI Pro at $19.99 a month. Neither Verizon’s release nor its terms page states what Verizon customers pay once the six months end. Deal sites report a $10 monthly charge after the trial, but neither Verizon document confirms that figure.
The terms page, written for the perk in general, says billing begins on enrollment. It also says you can cancel at any time in My Verizon. It allows one offer per line and requires a personal Google Account, so Workspace and child accounts are excluded. The page also warns that the offer may end without notice.
If you sign up, set a reminder for the end of the free period. Then check My Verizon for the price before the seventh month starts.
