Xfinity Mobile is advertising up to $1,000 off the iPhone Duo when pre-orders open on Friday, October 16, at 5:00 a.m. PT. That figure depends on four conditions listed on Xfinity’s own offer page. A buyer who misses any one of them should not count on the full amount.

What Xfinity’s iPhone Duo offer requires
Xfinity’s offer copy sets out the core terms directly: “Requires new Mobile Plus line, qualifying trade-in, and device payment plan.” The card’s footer adds a fourth requirement, Xfinity Internet service. It also notes that taxes and fees are extra.
Put together, a buyer needs all of these to reach the headline number:
- A new Mobile Plus line: the offer names a new line on Xfinity’s Mobile Plus plan.
- Xfinity Internet: home internet from Xfinity is required, so anyone with another broadband provider would have to switch.
- A qualifying trade-in: $1,000 is the maximum, so expect your old phone’s model and condition to shape the final figure.
- A device payment plan: the Duo has to be financed through Xfinity rather than bought outright.
The offer page does not say how the $1,000 is delivered, whether as an instant discount or as monthly bill credits. As of October 15, the Duo card also shows no end date, and the page still marks the offer as coming soon.
For most readers, the internet requirement is the deciding condition. A $1,000 headline is only worth chasing if moving both home broadband and mobile service to Xfinity already makes sense for you.
iPhone Duo price and how the offer compares
Apple lists the 256GB iPhone Duo at $1,999 in the US when bought with the option to connect a carrier later. Apple’s own pre-orders also open at 5:00 a.m. PT on October 16.
Apple’s Duo page also lists an AT&T offer of up to $1,200 with an eligible trade-in. That figure arrives as bill credits, as covered in our breakdown of the AT&T iPhone Duo deal. Neither headline is a straight price cut. Both depend on a trade-in, and Xfinity’s also needs a new line, financing and Xfinity Internet.
Xfinity’s page carries two other iPhone offers, both ending November 10. One is $400 off with no trade-in, though it still needs a new Mobile Plus line and a device payment plan. The other is up to $930 on a choice of iPhone. Neither card names the Duo, so don’t assume either one applies to it.
What to check before pre-orders open
If you already have Xfinity Internet and planned to add a line, the offer is worth a look at 5:00 a.m. PT on Friday. Ask Xfinity what your current phone is worth in trade first. Then confirm how the credit is paid out before you sign up for financing. For the Apple side of the process, our iPhone Duo pre-order guide covers what to set up in advance.
