Samsung has launched the Galaxy A08 in India at Rs 18,499, for a single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model. That buys a 6.7-inch HD+ 90Hz LCD and a MediaTek Helio G99+ chip. It also gets a 6,000mAh battery with 25W charging. Samsung’s headline promise is six OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
The Galaxy A08 is on sale now through Samsung.com, Samsung Exclusive Stores, partner stores and online platforms.

Galaxy A08 price and availability in India
- 4GB RAM + 64GB storage: Rs 18,499
- Colours: Dark Blue, Silver, Green
Samsung India has announced only this one configuration. A UAE retailer listing we reported earlier showed a 6GB/128GB option, but that model isn’t part of the India launch. We also covered the Galaxy F08 and M08 India launch, which came without prices at the time.
Is the Galaxy A08 worth Rs 18,499?
Rs 18,499 is a lot to ask for 4GB of RAM, 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage and an HD+ screen. Samsung’s spec sheet also lists no 5G support. The six-year update promise is welcome. Still, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage may feel tight well before those six years run out. For comparison, the TECNO Spark 50s 5G launched in India at Rs 19,999.
Galaxy A08 specifications
Samsung claims the A08 is up to 84% faster than the Galaxy A06 in single-core CPU performance. It quotes gains of up to 43% in multi-core and 60% in graphics. Samsung also claims 22% longer video playback than the A06.
The phone ships with One UI 9 and Circle to Search 3.0. A long press of the power button brings up Gemini or Perplexity. The frame carries Samsung’s Key Island 2.0 side ridge.
