TECNO has launched the Spark 50s 5G in India at Rs 19,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model. The 8GB + 128GB version costs Rs 22,999, and sales start on October 20, 2026. The budget phone pairs a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chip with a 6,500mAh battery and a 120Hz display.
TECNO is pitching the phone on price. Arijeet Talapatra, CEO of TECNO Mobile India, put it this way:
“This is TECNO’s most aggressive price for 5G, and we’re only getting started.”

He also argued that buyers shouldn’t have to pay more for a reliable 5G phone, and pointed to rising memory costs. That framing needs some context. TECNO’s March Spark 50 5G launched in India at Rs 18,999 for the same 6GB + 128GB configuration. The Spark 50s asks Rs 1,000 more, roughly 5 percent.
The two are different models, so this isn’t a straight price hike on one phone. Still, both share a 6.78-inch 120Hz screen, a 50MP main camera and a 6,500mAh battery with 45W charging. For comparison, the Redmi 17C 5G landed in India at Rs 20,999 earlier this month.

FoneArena and Gizmochina both report these prices and the October 20 sale date. Where the phone will be sold has not been confirmed yet. On the evening of October 16, TECNO’s own India product page showed only a Notify Me button. It listed no price, sale date or retailer.
Features TECNO is highlighting
TECNO says a 4×4 MIMO antenna setup can raise download speeds by up to 82%. It also claims its UPS 3.0 feature makes UPI payments up to twice as fast under testing conditions. Both are TECNO’s own figures, not independent measurements.
FreeLink is the more unusual addition. TECNO says it allows point-to-point voice calls, texts and image sharing over up to 1.5 km in line-of-sight conditions. It works without a cellular or Wi-Fi connection. On the software side, the phone includes Gemini integration and Circle to Search.
TECNO also unveiled the Spark 50s globally alongside the Spark 50C, both with 120Hz displays.
