Samsung has launched the Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08 in India as retailer-exclusive budget phones. The two are the same device sold under different names. The Galaxy F08 is a Flipkart exclusive in Dark Blue, while the Galaxy M08 goes to Amazon in Silver. Both run Android 17 with One UI 9 on a 6,000mAh battery. What neither has, as of October 2, is an officially announced price.

Pricing and Availability
Samsung has not confirmed India pricing for either model. Figures circulating online trace back to earlier leak-tracking expectations rather than anything Samsung announced. We are not repeating them here. If you are planning a purchase, wait for the listing price on the retailer page.
- Galaxy F08: Dark Blue, exclusive to Flipkart
- Galaxy M08: Silver, exclusive to Amazon India
- Price: not officially confirmed as of October 2, 2026
The single-colour, single-retailer split is the part to understand before shopping. You are not choosing between two phones with different strengths. You are choosing a store and a colour. The two listings may well carry different promotional prices for identical hardware.
Specifications
GSMArena notes that both phones are effectively the Galaxy A08 under different names. That is the honest framing. Samsung is filling two retail channels with the same hardware rather than designing two phones. The F08 and M08 badges do not signal any engineering difference between them. We covered the Galaxy A08 leaking in full via a UAE retailer listing earlier this year.
The headline here is software support. Samsung is promising six years of OS updates and security patches on an entry-level phone. That is longer than most of this tier gets, and it is a genuine reason to consider these over a cheaper rival. The hardware is modest, so the question is whether a Helio G99+ with 4GB of RAM will still be pleasant to use in year five.
- Display: 6.7-inch LCD, 1600×720, 90Hz
- Chipset: MediaTek Helio G99+
- Memory and storage: 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, microSD expansion
- Cameras: 50MP main (f/1.8) and 2MP depth on the rear, 8MP front, 1080p30 video on both
- Battery: 6,000mAh, 25W charging
- Software: Android 17 with One UI 9, six years of OS updates and security patches
- Durability: IP64 rating
At 64GB of base storage, the microSD slot is not a bonus but a necessity. Android 17 and One UI 9 will claim a meaningful share of that before you install anything. Factor the cost of a memory card into whatever price Samsung’s retail partners end up listing.
