OnePlus has started rolling out stable ColorOS 17 to the OnePlus 13, 13R, 13s and 15R in India. The update is based on Android 17. The OnePlus 13R is the surprise. OnePlus’s own schedule had it down for November alongside the OnePlus 12, so it is arriving weeks early. The OnePlus 13, 13s and 15R were due on October 30, which puts them a few days ahead.
OnePlus confirmed each rollout on its community forum, with the same note in every thread: “This update is already rolling out in the IN region in batches, and we will keep you posted on the progress in the thread.”
Owners will also notice a name change. 9to5Google notes that ColorOS 17 replaces OxygenOS on these phones.

Still scheduled for November
OnePlus’s published ColorOS 17 schedule lists these models for November 2026:

What’s new in ColorOS 17 for the OnePlus 13 series
OnePlus’s changelog covers a long list of changes. These are the ones most owners will notice:
- New design: Responsive light effects, smoother animations and a redesigned Quick Settings and notification drawer.
- Clock: An animated clock that carries across the Always-On Display, lock screen and home screen.
- Performance: A Laminar Flow Engine upgrade with context-aware scheduling, meant to cut lag under heavy memory load and avoid needless background app closures.
- Mind Space: Saves TXT, PDF and Word documents and can summarize them, plus a new Travel collection.
- Travel alerts: AI Suggest and Live Alerts show train and flight trip notifications.
When other regions get ColorOS 17
9to5Google says most of these rollouts are India-only for now, with other regions expected in the coming weeks. OnePlus’s community posts don’t give a date for the US or Europe. Owners outside India will need to wait for OnePlus to post regional builds.
