Karbonn Rebel and Rebel Pro Launch in India as 4G Phones From Rs 11,999

Karbonn is back in India’s smartphone market with the Rebel and Rebel Pro, priced at Rs 11,999 and Rs 12,499. Both are 4G-only phones powered by the MediaTek Helio G81. Sales start November 4 on Amazon.in, according to GSMArena and Gizmochina.

The naming may trip up some buyers. Karbonn’s pre-launch teasers promoted a Rebel 5G, which is a separate model still to come. Its specs and price are unknown, and Karbonn says pricing and availability will follow later.

Karbonn Rebel and Rebel Pro price in India and availability

Each phone comes in a single 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration:

Karbonn Rebel (4GB/128GB): Rs 11,999, in Blue, Gold and Silver
Karbonn Rebel Pro (4GB/128GB): Rs 12,499, in Cherry Red, Blue, Gold and Gray

Both phones list an MRP of Rs 14,999. That is a list price, and neither phone is actually sold at it. Gizmochina reports a Rs 1,000 bank offer that brings the effective prices down to Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,499. Both will be sold as Amazon Specials on Amazon.in.

What you get, and what you don’t

Karbonn has kept the basics generous. The Rebel packs a 7,000mAh battery, and the Rebel Pro has a 6,000mAh cell with a 120Hz screen. Both phones get IP64 dust and splash resistance, a 3.5mm headphone jack and Android 16. Karbonn promises two years of OS and security updates, per GSMArena.

The main tradeoff is connectivity. Both phones are 4G-only, so buyers who want 5G will need to wait for the Rebel 5G. The Realme P4s Lite takes a similar approach, pairing a 7,000mAh battery with no 5G.

The camera hardware is not fully clear yet. Each phone has three cutouts on its rear camera island. GSMArena says Karbonn has confirmed only the main sensor on each model. Gizmochina, however, describes the Rebel Pro as having a 64MP AI dual camera setup. The two outlets differ, so treat the rear camera count as unconfirmed.
