OnePlus has listed the Buds Pro 4 on its global website with a full spec sheet. As of October 31, the page shows no price, release date or list of markets. The specs do reveal one catch: the headline 53-hour battery figure assumes noise cancelling is off.
OnePlus Buds Pro 4 battery life with ANC on
The 53-hour figure counts the earbuds plus the case, on the AAC codec, with ANC switched off. With ANC on, OnePlus rates the earbuds alone at 6 hours on AAC. Switch to the higher-quality LHDC codec and that drops to 5.5 hours.

Here is the full breakdown from OnePlus’s own lab testing:
- Earbuds only, ANC on: 6 hours (AAC), 5.5 hours (LHDC)
- Earbuds only, ANC off: 13 hours (AAC)
- With case, ANC on: 26 hours (AAC), 22 hours (LHDC)
- With case, ANC off: 53 hours (AAC)
A 10-minute charge gives up to 14 hours of playback when you count the case. The case supports wireless charging. It can also be topped up by reverse wireless charging from a compatible OnePlus phone.
Features that need a OnePlus phone
Several of the Buds Pro 4’s headline features depend on which phone you pair them with. The footnotes on OnePlus’s own page spell out the limits.
- AI Live Translation: OnePlus devices on ColorOS 17 or later only; cloud-processed; capped at 5,000 minutes a month
- Clear Audio Recording: OnePlus 10 series and later only
- 39ms game latency: only with select OnePlus phones that have Low game latency enabled
- Golden Sound and spatial audio with head tracking: built into OnePlus phones on Android 12 or later; other Android 7.0+ phones and iPhones on iOS 13.2+ need the HeyMelody app
- Reverse wireless charging: needs a compatible OnePlus phone
That’s a fair deal if you already own a recent OnePlus phone. On a Pixel, Galaxy or iPhone, you’d be paying for features you can’t use. Live Translation also relies on cloud processing, which is worth knowing before you use it for private conversations.
Sound, noise cancelling and calls
Each earbud pairs an 11mm composite woofer with a 6mm planar tweeter, driven by independent dual DACs. OnePlus co-engineered the setup with Dynaudio. Hi-Res Audio support comes through LHDC 5.0 at 1Mbps and 24-bit/192kHz.
OnePlus claims 50% more bass driving force than the Buds Pro 3. It also claims the Buds Pro 4 remove up to 2x more unwanted noise and 2.5x more voice noise than their predecessor. These figures come from OnePlus’s own test lab, and we haven’t verified them.
For calls, there are three mics plus a VPU bone-conduction sensor. The earbuds are rated IP55, but OnePlus notes the charging case is not water resistant.
Price and availability
OnePlus hasn’t announced a price or sale date as of October 31. The Buds Pro 4 appear only on OnePlus’s global site so far. The US, India, UK and German versions of the product page aren’t live yet.
