As we reported earlier, Google Pixel 4 is set to officially launch on October 15. Google has just sent out Media Invites for a Hardware event on October 15. The event is set to take place in New York City and the invite comes with a tagline of “Come see a few things Made by Google”. Google is expected to announce the Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, & other devices including a Pixelbook 2 and new Google Home speakers.

There is already a Youtube Livestream setup for the Google Pixel 4 launch event.

The news comes via Evleaks, who has shared a press render of the upcoming flagship phone.

According to the calendar widget on the homescreen in the press render, the Google Pixel 4 launch date is set for October 15th. It will be announced along with the Pixel 4 XL.

This does tally with the traditional launch date pattern of the Pixels. For reference, the 1st gen Pixel and Pixel XL were launched on October 4, 2016. The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL debuted on October 4, 2017. And the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL were announced on October 9, 2018.

Google has already confirmed that the Pixel 4 will feature Project Soli radar, for motion gestures. The phone will support IR based secure face unlocking as well. A teaser image from the company shows the dual-camera setup on the back panel, with a spectral sensor to assist the lenses.

We have seen multiple leaks about the phone, the most recent of which shows the Pixel 4’s design. The device will run Android 10 out of the box, will have a 90Hz display. It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.

We are just about a month away from the Google Pixel 4 launch date, so expect an official word on that soon.
