Rearth Ringke Discover Leather Case for Nexus 4 – Review

With every mobile device whether its a smartphone or tablet, you should use a proper case to protect it from scratches and other damages which may occur while using the device. I own a Nexus 4 and I was looking for a good case which can provide full protection to it including the screen and back simultaneously. We will be reviewing the Rearth Ringke Discover Leather Case for Nexus 4 which we got from Mobilefun.

Ringke Case Nexus 4

Features:

  • Hand-made from quality leather
  • Reinforced inner case securely holds phone
  • Four internal pockets have space for credit cards and cash
  • Made for Nexus 4

The case basically consists of two cases, the first being a plastic kind of back cover case securing the back portion of the phone plus the leather case which covers both the front and the back of the phone. Both the cases are combined together to look like a single case.

Nexus 4 fits exactly inside the inner case without any loose portions left or something loose. The case seems good in quality and not a cheap one. The outer leather case is carefully integrated with the reinforced inner plastic case which holds the phone together firmly.

Cut-outs (for the buttons, camera, ports)

The cut-outs for buttons, camera, speakers etc. fit exactly the way they should without any issue. They give you easy access to volume rocker, the power button, the camera, the headphone port, the charger port etc. even with the case is ON.

Comfort of use

The case is a good choice if you are looking for a case which can protect both the front and back portions of the phone. There are some small issues though which may need to be looked on. Sometimes, during a phone call, you may not be able to hear the incoming voice properly if the front cover of the case moves a bit and blocks the port a bit.

I would have preferred the case without the internal pockets for credit cards, cash etc. as we don’t want it to replace our wallets. But that is a personal opinion and perhaps many people would love this but I am not sure.

For many users it may feel like a bulky case. But those users probably don’t want a case like this and may be happier with a single back cover case.

 Price

The Rearth Ringke Discover Leather Case for Nexus 4 costs just  $25.49 at Mobilefun.  And this is not the only Nexus 4 case they have, in fact there are several more.

PS: Thanks to MobileFun for sending us the case for review.
