Realme C55 with Mini Capsule display launched in India

The Realme C55 has been introduced in India, two weeks after it was launched in Indonesia. The mid-range smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 octa-core processor, and runs on Android 13 with Realme UI 4.0 out of the box.

The highlight of the Realme C55 is its display, it sports a 6.72-inches Full HD+ display with a 90Hz Refresh Rate. The screen is home to a Realme Mini Capsule, a software feature which was inspired by Apple iPhone 14 Pro’s Dynamic Island. The Mini Capsule appears near the selfie camera, and shows the battery charging progress, battery capacity, etc. The device has a 91.4% Screen Ratio, supports 680nits Brightness, and 180Hz Touch Sampling Rate.

The Realme C55 has an ARM Mali-G52, 4GB/6GB/8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, supports up to 16GB of Dynamic RAM (virtual memory), has 64GB/128GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The selfie camera on the front is an 8MP snapper, while the rear camera array consists of a 64 megapixels primary sensor, and a 2MP Depth Sensor.

Realme has embedded a side-mounted fingerprint reader in the phone, The C55 supports 4G mobile networks, Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery which charges through a USB Type-C connector, and supports 33W SUPERVOOC Charge (fast charging), that can fully charge the battery in just 63 minutes.

Realme C55 price in Indonesia

The Realme C55 has been priced starting at Rs. 10,999 in India, for the 4GB/64GB model, while the 6GB/64GB trim costs Rs. 11,999. The top-end model with 8GB/128GB carries a price tag of Rs. 13,999. The device will be available for purchase on March 28th on Flipkart. It comes in 2 colours: Sunshower, and Rainy Night. Flipkart and Realme have partnered with ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank to offer an instant discount of Rs. 1,000 for purchases made with a Credit Card, Debit Card or an EMI transaction.
