Oppo has announced a new phone called the Oppo Reno5 Pro+ 5G, in China. It is part of the Reno5 series that was launched recently. But unlike the regular and the Pro versions, the Pro+ is a flagship phone.
The Reno5 Pro+ is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor, with an Adreno 650 GPU, 8GB/12GB of RAM. The device has 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and runs on ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.
The phone sports a 6.55-inches AMOLED Full HD+ display with a 90Hz Refresh Rate, 92.10% screen-to-body ratio, 180Hz Touch Sampling Rate and an In-Display Fingerprint Scanner. The selfie camera on the Oppo Reno5 Pro+ 5G is identical to the one’s on the other models, i.e. it is a 32MP punch-hole lens with an f/2.4 aperture and 81° FOV.
However, the rear camera set up of the Oppo Reno5 Pro+ 5G is different. It is equipped with quad cameras comprising a 50MP Sony IMX 766 lens with an f/1.8 aperture, a 16MP ultra wide-angle lens that has an f/2.2 aperture, a 13MP Telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture, a 2MP Macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and an LED Flash. The phone is backed by a 4,500 mAh battery that charges over a USB Type-C port and supports 65W Super Vooc Fast Charging. The device does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Oppo Reno5 Pro+ 5G price starts at RMB 3,999 (about Rs. 45,000) for the 8GB/128GB model, and at RMB 4,499 (about Rs. 51,000) for the 12GB/256GB in China. The latter also comes in a special edition created in partnership with Joshua Vides for the same price.
