Honor 8X with 6.5-inch display, Kirin 710, Dual Cameras launched starting at Rs. 14,999 in India

The Honor 8X has been officially launched in India at event in New Delhi. The phone is expected to be a strong competitor in the mid-range segment, which is currently dominated by the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 and the Nokia 6.1 Plus.

The Honor 8X is powered by Huawei’s octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor with GPU Turbo,  4GB/6GB of RAM and will be available in 64GB/128GB storage variants. The device runs on EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. 

The phone features a FullView 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a notch design, in a tall 19:5:9 aspect ratio form factor and a 91% screen to body ratio. The Honor 8X sports a 2.5D Glass on the back panel and a metal frame. The device has a triple card tray, with a dedicated microSD card and Dual SIM card slots. 

The Honor 8X is equipped with Dual rear cameras which comprise of a 20MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor lens also with a similar aperture. The front camera is a 16MP selfie lens which has an f/2.0 aperture. The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and supports Face Unlock via the selfie camera. 

The Honor 8X is backed by a 3750 mAh battery, which charges over a micro USB port. The phone however comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Honor 8X price in India 

The Honor 8X has been priced at Rs. 14,999 in India for the 4GB/64GB variant, while the 6GB/64GB variant costs Rs. 16,999, and the 6GB/128GB variant will retail for Rs. 18,999.
