Gameloft has begun teasing the next game in the Asphalt series.
But don’t hold your breath, it is not the successor to Asphalt 8, rather it is just an arcade racer.
It will probably be like an endless runner, but with cars. I guess it will be like Redline Rush. Overdrive will have a bank heist storyline, set in the 80’s California, where you have to outrun the Cops, in a variety of Getaway vehicles.

The game will feature various missions, and bosses whom you will have to work for or beat, in order to progress. As in other games in the Asphalt series, Overdrive will have officially licensed Cars, which you can collect and upgrade.
There is no official release date as of yet, but Gameloft says it is coming soon, and has begun teasing one key aspect of the game everyday. So the game could be released within a few weeks.
