Galaxy Z Fold8 Pistachio Is Orderable Again, but Now Ships in October

The Galaxy Z Fold8 in Pistachio can be ordered again in the US after checkout errors made it look sold out, but the colour now carries a shipping estimate well behind the rest of the lineup. As reported on 28 July, the 256GB and 512GB Pistachio models were showing an estimated delivery date of 2 October, while the 1TB version showed 21 August. Most other Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra configurations are still expected to reach buyers in August.

Why the Galaxy Z Fold8 Pistachio colour is harder to get

Pistachio is not a colour you can walk into a carrier store and pick up. Samsung lists it on its US site as an online exclusive, “Only available at Samsung.com and Samsung Experience Stores” — a narrower sales channel than the colours sold through carriers and third-party retailers, which is one plausible reason a single shade can slip behind the phone it belongs to.

What Samsung has not done is explain the delay. There is no statement attributing it to demand, to supply, or to anything else, so the honest reading is that the cause is unknown. Strong interest in an exclusive colour and a deliberately small initial allocation produce identical-looking checkout pages, and from the outside you cannot tell which one you are looking at.

What this means if you are buying

The practical situation for a US buyer right now:

  • Pistachio 256GB and 512GB — orderable, but the shipping estimate reported on 28 July was 2 October.
  • Pistachio 1TB — the same colour, with an estimate of 21 August, roughly six weeks earlier.
  • Other Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra colours — generally still tracking to August.

Those figures are estimated delivery dates as reported on 28 July. They are live storefront state, not a Samsung commitment, and they move as inventory shifts — check the estimate on your own order before assuming any of the above still holds. Separately, it is worth knowing that Samsung’s US storefront also uses a “Ships by” date, which its own FAQ describes as the date Samsung will send an order on or before, with tracking and an anticipated delivery date following only once the order has shipped.

One thing worth checking before you commit to the wait: promotional trade-in credit and launch-window bundles usually carry their own expiry, and those clocks are not always synced to when your phone actually arrives. If you are ordering a Pistachio Galaxy Z Fold8 on a two-month estimate, read the terms on whatever offer you are claiming rather than assuming it will still be honoured in October. If the colour matters less to you than the timing, an in-stock shade gets you the identical phone in August. US buyers have already had one Galaxy Z Fold8 perk pass them by this year — Samsung’s free storage upgrade promotion was limited to Korea.
