Redmi 7 with Snapdragon 632, Dual Cameras, 6.26-inch Display launched starting at Rs. 7,999 in India

The Redmi 7 has been launched in India, about a month after it was announced in China. The phone sits between the entry level and mid-range series, making it a good choice for people on a budget.

The phone runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie and features a 6.26-inches HD+ dot notch display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The Redmi 7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor. This is the first phone in the Redmi series (non-Note device) to use a Snapdragon 600 series. The CPU is paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. There is a dedicated microSD card in the phone (unlike the Chinese variant).

In the camera department, the Redmi 7 is equipped with dual cameras comprising of a 12MP primary lens with an f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP secondary lens. The selfie lens on the device is an 8MP camera.

The Redmi 7 has a rear placed fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro-USB port to charge the 4,000 mAh battery.

Redmi 7 price in India

The Redmi 7 price in India starts at Rs. 7,999 for the 3GB model while the 4GB variant carries a price tag of Rs. 8,999. The device comes in 3 colours: Lunar Red, Comet Blue and Eclipse Black. The first sale of the phone starts at 2 noon on 29th April 2019 at Mi.com, Mi Home Amazon.
