Visible, Verizon’s app-only prepaid brand, has launched Visible One — a plan that puts your phone service and fiber home internet on one bill for a standard $55 a month. It is the brand’s first bundle of the kind, announced on 27 August, and there is a second, faster tier at $75. The important detail is not the price, though: it is that only a narrow set of US homes can actually buy it.
Visible One pricing and what each tier includes
Two tiers, both billed as a single line item covering mobile and home internet:
- Visible One — $55/month standard. Visible’s base mobile plan, plus 300/300 Mbps fiber home internet, with the internet equipment included. The introductory offer is $50/month for the first two months, which Verizon says requires a $100 upfront payment; the $55 rate starts from month three.
- Visible+ Pro One — $75/month. The Visible+ Pro mobile plan, which includes 5G Ultra-Wideband access and a smartwatch line, plus 1 Gbps fiber home internet, equipment again included.
Both tiers include taxes and fees in the advertised price, need no credit check, and carry no annual contract. Verizon also says there are no installation fees, free overnight shipping on the equipment, and no monthly router rental — and it takes an open swipe at rivals in the release, calling out “$25 activation fees, monthly router rentals, and extra self-install kit charges” as the hidden add-ons Visible One avoids.
One caveat on that headline number. The $50 figure Visible is advertising is not a $50 monthly bill — it is $100 charged upfront to cover two months, after which the real price is $55. That is a fair enough deal, but it is a prepayment, and worth reading as one before you compare it against a competitor’s monthly rate.
The router is included rather than rented, but it does not become yours immediately: Verizon says “the equipment is free to keep after three consecutive months of service.”
The eligibility catch: you need an inactive Fios ONT already in the house
This is the line that will disqualify most people who read the pricing and get interested. Verizon’s release states that Visible Fiber is available only to new Fios customers who have “an existing and inactive ONT (Optical Network Terminal)” and are not currently subscribed to Verizon Fios.
In plain terms: the fiber box has to be bolted to your wall already, left behind by a previous Fios installation, and switched off. If your home has never had Fios, or if you are a current Fios subscriber looking to cut your bill by moving to Visible, this plan is not open to you. There is no technician visit in the process because the whole model assumes the hardware is already there — setup is self-directed through that existing ONT.
You can check whether your address qualifies at visible.com/home. Visible says its separate 5G Home Internet product still covers eligible areas outside the fiber footprint, so that remains the fallback if the fiber check comes back negative.

Is it worth it?
If you happen to be in one of those already-wired homes, the maths is genuinely good: $55 all-in for 300/300 Mbps fiber — Verizon’s own fine print qualifies that as 300 Mbps “where available” — plus an unlimited phone line, no contract, no credit check and no equipment rental is cheaper than most people pay for the internet alone, before adding a phone. The $75 tier with 1 Gbps fiber and a smartwatch line is the better value of the two if you were going to pay for a watch line anyway.
What to watch is what happens after the promotional period, because bundle pricing is where carriers historically claw back the discount later — Verizon is raising the price of its Disney and Hulu perks for existing subscribers from 17 September. Visible’s no-contract structure means you can leave, which is the main protection here.
