T-Mobile will take up to $1,200 off the Galaxy Z Flip8 if you add a new line on a qualifying Experience plan. That covers the full $1,199.99 price of the 256GB model, and no trade-in is needed. It also ties you to a plan of at least $85 a month for 36 months. The discount arrives as 36 monthly bill credits, not as a price cut at checkout.

What the T-Mobile Galaxy Z Flip8 deal requires
T-Mobile’s offer page lists these terms for the new-line deal, which was live as of publication.
- A new line: you need qualifying credit and a new line on a plan of $85 or more per month with AutoPay, plus taxes and fees.
- Qualifying plans: Experience Beyond 2.0 and Experience More 2.0 for new and existing customers. Existing customers can also use Experience Beyond, Experience More, Go5G Next or Go5G Plus.
- 36 bill credits: the discount comes as up to 36 monthly credits. The line must stay active and in good standing, and credits can take two bill cycles to start.
- Upfront costs: a $35 device connection charge and sales tax on the full pre-credit price are both due at sale.
- Early exit: credits end if you pay the phone off early. Cancel the whole account and the credits stop, with the remaining finance balance due.
- Other limits: a maximum of four discounted devices per account. Lines cancelled in the past 90 days may need reactivating first. Some other offers can’t be combined.
The offer page gives no end date. It describes the deal as limited time and subject to change.
Free, as long as you stay three years
T-Mobile markets the Flip8 deal under the line “It’s On Us.” In practice, you finance the $1,199.99 phone over 36 months and the bill credits offset each payment. That only works if you keep a plan costing at least $85 a month for those three years. Leave early or pay the phone off, and you lose the remaining credits. You also pay tax on the full price and the $35 charge on day one.
If you were planning to add a line anyway, this is a genuine saving on a $1,199.99 phone. If you weren’t, the phone is mainly the bait for a three-year plan commitment.
The trade-in route and the Galaxy Z Fold8
You can skip the new line and trade in an eligible phone instead, under the same bill-credit structure. You still need a qualifying Experience plan. T-Mobile’s examples put a Galaxy S24 at the full $1,200 and a Galaxy A54 at $600. For how trade-in headlines can shrink in practice, see our look at iPhone 18 Pro carrier deals.
The same page offers up to $1,200 off the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra on the same new-line or trade-in terms. Existing Flip8 and Fold8 owners can also read about the phones’ October security update.
