Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 with 6.39 AMOLED screen, in-display fingerprint scanner, 4000mAh battery, triple cameras launched

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K20 Pro and the Redmi K20 in China. The flagship phone is packed with a ton of features and priced quite affordably.

The K20 Pro sports a 6.39-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display in a notchless design which gives the phone an incredible 91.9% screen to body ratio. The display supports 103.8% NTSC Colour Gamut and 600 nits brightness. The phone is equipped with an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.

The device runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.

The Redmi K20 Pro will be available i 6GB RAM/64GB storage, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants. The pop-up selfie camera in the phone is a 20MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

The device has a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 48MP Sony IMX 586 primary camera with a 1/2″ inch sensor, 1.6μm pixel size an f/1.75 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens with a 1/4″ sensor, 1.12μm pixel size, an f/2.4 aperture and a 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor with  1/3″ size lens, 1.12μm pixel size, an f/2.4 aperture and a 124.8° field of view.

The Redmi K20 Pro has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port which supports 27W Quick Charge for the 4000mAh battery. Xiaomi says the device can be fully charged in 73 minutes.

The phone will be available with a textured Kevlar back in the Carbon Fiber Black variant, and in 2 design patterns, i.e., Glacier Blue and Flame Red

The Redmi K20 is quite similar to the pro variant except for the processor, RAM, storage the main camera and the battery charging tech. The K20 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor, and will be available in 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB variants. The phone features a 48MP Sony IMX 582 lens, with a 1/2″ sensor, 1.6μm pixel size and an f/1.75 aperture. The device is backed by a 4,000mAh battery which supports 18W Quick Charging.

Redmi K20 Pro price

According to the official announcement, the Redmi K20 Pro 6GB/64GB price starts at RMB 2499 (about Rs. 25,000), while the 8GB/256GB model will retail for RMB 2799 (about Rs. 28,000), and the 8GB/128GB version will cost RMB 2999 (about Rs. 30,000).

The prices are slightly higher than expected, but we have to wait and see how the company prices it in India. The phone is believed to be announced as the Poco F2 in our Country.

The Redmi K20 price starts at RMB 1999 yuan (about Rs. 20,000) for the 64GB storage variant, while the 128GB version will retail for RMB 2099 (about Rs. 21,000.)
