Redmi 10 Prime with 90Hz Display and 50MP camera launched

The next big mid-range phone from Redmi is here, say hello to the Redmi Note 10 Prime.

Display, Operating System

The device sports a 6.5-inches Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The screen supports 90Hz AdaptiveSync Refresh Rate, has a 1500:1 Contrast ratio, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.

Processsor, RAM and Storage

The Redmi 10 Prime is the first phone in India to be powered by the 12nm octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor. It has an ARM Mali G52 GPU, and comes with 4GB and 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, with . The device supports extended RAM, a software feature which you can toggle, to allow a portion of the phone’s storage to be ysed for the memory. The 4GB variant supports 1GB of extended RAM, while the 6GB model supports 2GB of memory.

Cameras

The primary sensor on the Redmi 10 Prime is a 50MP f/1.8 aperture lens, assisted by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, FOV 120°, a 2MP Macro sensor and a 2MP Depth Sensor. The selfie lens on the device is an 8MP snapper with an f/2.0 aperture.

Audio

The device has Dual Stereo Speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual microphones, and supports FM Radio.

Connectivity

The 10 Prime has a Triple Card Tray with a dedicated microSD card, Dual SIM card slots, and supports Dual 4G VoLTE. Other connectivity options on the device supports Wi-Fi Dual-band 2.4GHZ/5GHz 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS / GLONASS / Beidou, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, and QZSS.

Battery, Dimensions and Weight

The Redmi 10 Prime packs a 6000mAh battery that supports 18W Fast Charging over a USB Type-C Port. It ships with a 22.5W Charger in the boxm and supports 9W Reverse Charging. The phone measures 161.95 x 75.57 x 9.56mm and weighs at 192g.

The Redmi 10 Prime has been priced at Rs. 12499 for the  4GB + 64GB variant, while the 6GB + 128GB model costs Rs. 14,499. The phone will go on sale on September 7th, at Amazon.in, Mi.com, Mi Home, and Mi Studio Stores. Customers can avail an instant discounts of up to Rs. 750, when buying the phone with a HDFC Credit Card. The handset will be available in 3 colours: Phantom Black, Astral White and Bifrost Blue.
