Redmi 10 to launch on March 17th in India

Redmi is all set to announce a new mid-range phone in India. The company has just confirmed the Redmi 10 launch date.

The brand has a promo page on its site, that highlights key features of the phone. Images on the official website reveal that the Redmi 10 has a water-drop notch display.

However, the Redmi 10 that was launched globally last year, has a hole-punch display. So, the Redmi 10 Indian version is likely a different phone. Though the renders claim that the phone has a grand display, the chin bezel on the upcoming device is quite thick, so it is likely to be an affordable product.

The teaser page says that the device will be powered by a 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. In comparison, the global version has a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset. Further images on the site indicate that the handset has a quad lens setup, but only 2 of these appear to have optical sensors, so we are looking at a dual camera array. The branding below the cameras confirms that the primary lens is a 50MP sensor. A fingerprint scanner can also be seen in the camera bump.

The rear panel of the Redmi 10 has a textured finish for a smudge-free experience. It looks similar to the design that we have seen on the Redmi Prime series. The company says that the phone has a massive battery, and that it will support fast charging.
