Oppo has announced the Reno8 series in China. Say hello to the Oppo Reno8, Reno8 Pro and the Reno8 Pro +.
The Oppo Reno8 sports a 6.43-inches AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has an in-display fingerprint scanner. The screen supports Full HD+ resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, 90Hz Refresh Rate, 180Hz Touch Sampling Rate, 95% DCI-P3, 100% sRGB, 409PPI, 800 nits brightness, and has a 90.80% Screen Ratio.
The phone runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12, and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 octa-core processor clocked at 3.0GHz, with an ARM Mali G77 MC9 to handle the graphics. It has 8GB/12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB /256 UFS 3.1 storage. ‘the Reno9 is backed by a 4,500 mAh battery, that charges over a USB Type-C port, and supports 80W SuperVOOC Fast Charging.
Oppo has equipped a 50 megapixels primary lens with an f/1.8 aperture lens on the Reno8. It is assisted by a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP black and white sensor. The cameras are capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps, 1080p videos at 60fps, with Electronic Image Stabilization. The selfie lens on the phone is a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor that has an f/2.4 aperture with an 85°.
In the connectivity department, the Oppo Reno8 supports 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi6, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and NFC.
The phone weighs 179g, and measures 160 x 73.4 x 7.67 mm. It has a Geomagnetic Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gravity Sensor, Gyroscope, and a Pedometer.

Oppo Reno8 Pro
The Reno8 Pro and Pro+ have the same battery, OS, and selfie lens as the regular model. That’s where the similarities end.
Oppo‘s Reno8 Pro features a 6.62-inches Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has an in-display fingerprint reader. The Oppo Reno8 Pro is the world’s first phone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. The octa-core CPU is clocked at 2.4GHz, and is assisted by an Adreno 662 GPU, 8GB/12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB /256 of UFS 2.2 storage.
The main camera array on the Reno8 Pro and Pro+ have one extra lens compared to the regular model, and that is an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens with a 120° FOV, f/2.2 aperture. The Pro models have a Mariana MariSilicon X chip to assist with the photo and video capture quality. The smartphone sums up to 161 x 74.2 x 7.57 mm, and weighs 188g.

The top-end model in the series, the Oppo Reno8 Pro+ has a 6.7-inches AMOLED Full HD+ display with 120Hz Refresh Rate, and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX processor, with an ARM Mali G610 MC6 GPU. Oppo Reno8 series price in China
The Oppo Reno8 series price starts at RMB 2,499 in China (about Rs. 29,000) for the 8GB/128GB trim, while the 8GB/256GB model costs RMB 2,699 (about Rs. 31,000). The 12GB/256GB has been priced at RMB 2,999 (about Rs. 35,000).
The Reno8 Pro’s starter model with 8GB/128GB costs RMB 2,999 (approx Rs. 35,000, the 8GB/128GB variant has been priced at RMB 3,199 (around Rs. 37,000). The 12GB/256GB trim carries a price tag of RMB 3,499 (approx Rs. 41,000).
The Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ 8GB/256GB model’s price starts at RMB 3,699 (about Rs. 43,000), while the 12GB/256GB version carries a price tag of RMB 3,999 (roughly Rs. 46,000). All three models in the Reno8 series will be available for purchase from June 1st in China.
