Oppo Ace2 5G with Snapdragon 865, 65W SuperVOOC fast charging announced in China

Oppo has announced the Ace2 5G in China. Though it bears a slight resemblance to the Poco X2, the Ace2 is a proper flagship phone.

The Oppo Ace2 5G true to its name, will support 5G mobile networks, on the primary SIM slot. The device sports a It has a 6.5-inches Full HD+ AMOLED display that has a 90Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole camera. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner,  supports HDR10+, 100% Color Gamut, 91.7% screen-to-body ratio, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The selfie lens is a 16MP lens with an f/2.4 aperture and 73.7° viewing angle

The Ace2 5G runs on ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10 , and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. The phone has an advanced 4D cooling system comprising a vapor cooling chamber and a carbon fiber.  The device will be available in 3 variants: 8GB LPDDR4x RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM + 256GB storage. All three variants have the faster UFS 3.0 storage chip.

In the main camera department, the Oppo Ace2 5G features quad lenses that consist of a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, with an f/1.7 aperture, that supports 10x digital zoom, along with an 8MP 119°ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP Depth Sensor with 88.8 ° viewing angle, an f/2.4 aperture and a 2MP retro portrait lens also with an 88.8 ° viewing angle and an f/2.4 aperture.

The Oppo Ace2 5G is backed by a 4000mAh battery that supports, 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging via a USB Type-C port and 40W Air VOOC wireless fast charging (Wireless charger sold separately).  The Oppo Ace2 5G does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Oppo Ace2 5G price starts at RMB 3999 (about Rs. 43,000) in China, for the 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model will retail for RMB 4399 (about Rs. 47,000). The top end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage carries a price tag of RMB 4599 (about Rs. 49,000).
