We have seen a few reports regarding next year’s OnePlus phones. A new leak suggests that a third device in the OnePlus 9 series exists, and that is called the OnePlus 9E.

Max Jambor’s report on Voice suggests that the Chinese OEM is looking to take on Samsung by offering a device in every budget.

Will OnePlus 9E compete with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus or Ultra?

It is unclear whether the OnePlus 9E will be a more affordable option than the OnePlus 9, or if it will be a middle-tier device that sits between the regular and Pro version of the OnePlus 9 series.

We do know that the OnePlus 9 will sport a 6.7-inch display with curved edges and a punch-hole selfie camera. Though it appears that the device has quad cameras on the rear, according to the report, there are in fact three sensors. Of these the primary camera has a 48MP lens with 6mm focal length, and the secondary lens is a 48MP ultra-wide angle sensor. The third lens is expected to be a monochrome sensor.

The OnePlus 9E will debut alongside the other phones in the series sometime in March next year, which should help the company help even the competition from flagship phones from Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung, and the rest.
