Motorola engineer, Luciano Carvalho, has confirmed that the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for the Moto X 1st gen is being tested among select users.
The soak test has been rolled out to some users who volunteered for testing the firmware update, at Motorola’s website.
The version being tested is Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, Carlvalho said in a post on Google+, acknowledging that the rumors and leaks about the user test phase are true. He also said that there are no plans for Android 5.1 yet.
Carvalho did not give an ETA about when the Android Lollipop update for the original Moto X would be released, but considering that an official representative has spoken publicly, it may not be long before the OTA arrives.
