Moto E40 with 90Hz Display, 5000mAh battery launched in India

Motorola has announced the Moto E40 in India. Let’s find out what the affordable handset from the Lenovo-owned company has to offer.

Moto E40

The screen on the phone is a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel that supports 90Hz Refresh Rate, has a 20:9 Aspect Ratio, and a resolution of 1600 x 720 Pixels. The Moto E40 is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Unisoc T700 processor, with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and supports up to 2TB of additional storage via a dedicated microSD card slot. It runs on Android 11 and has a Google Assistant button placed on the right-hand side of the device’s frame.

The phone supports 4G VoLTE mobile networks, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, LTEPP, SUPL, GALILEO, and GLONASS navigation. It retains the 3.5mm headphone jack which is not surprising that this is a budget friendly device. The triple camera array on the back panel consists of a 48MP primary lens with an f/1.79 aperture, a 2MP Macro Lens that has an f/2.4 aperture, a 2MP Depth Sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and an LED Flash. The front camera is an 8MP hole-punch selfie lens with an f/2.0 aperture.

The device packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging over a USB Type-C port. The E40 has an IP52 Water-repellent design. The phone measures 75.6 x 165.1 x 9.1 mm and weighs 198g. It has a rear-facing fingerprint reader, and supports Face Unlock via the front camera.

Moto E40 price in India

Motorola has priced the E40 at Rs. 9,499 in India. The device will be available on Flipkart from October 17th. The phone comes in 2 colours: Carbon Gray and Pink Clay.
