LG W series launch set for June 26 in India, More than one device expected

LG India has started sending out Media Invites for the launch of LG W series device in India. The official launch date for LG W series is set for June 26 which is just three days away. Even though we have heard about LG W10 as one of the devices that is expected to launch, we do expect more than one W series device getting unveiled on that day. Not much is known about anu other device at the moment.

LG W10 Android Enterprise listing reveal specifications and notch

LG India has been teasing their W series smartphones for sometime and one of these devices i.e. alleged LG W10 real life or live images had leaked last week. Thanks to an official Android Enterprise listing, today we have some official confirmation for thethe name of the device i.e. along with some of the basic LG W10 specifications and the render showing the display with a wide notch.

LG W10This official listing also indicates that the alleeged real life or live images of LG W10 were fake or probably for any other W series device but not that of W10.

The Android Enterprise listing also confirms basic LG W10 specifications and sports a 6.2 inch display with wide notch, powered by 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB internal storage and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) based operating system. There is no NFC support but the fingerprint sensor is there.

LG W10 real life images leak ahead of the official launch

Some real life images of LG W10 smartphone in the LG W series has surfaced on the web confirming the design of the device. The name of the smartphone i.e. LG W10 is yet to be officially confirmed by the company. The leaked LG W10 live images reproduced below (1, 2) confirms the waterdrop display and a dual camera module on the rear along with fingerprint sensor. As we have reported, LG has been teasing a triple camera module device which indicates that there will be more than one smartphone under LG W series. The leaked image shows only the dual camera one. Lg W10 Specifications details are still sketchy though we knew some details as mentoned below.

LG W series to feature 4,000 mAh battery, Android Pie, BoomBox

Specifications of LG W Series phones have surfaced on LG India official site via some new teaser images, though the details are not available publicly unless you can guess the exact banner images file names.

These teaser images reveal that LG W series phone will be backed by a 4,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) based operating system. It also reveals that the phone is powered by a 12nm octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz which seems like the MediaTek Helio P60. Another teaser image indicates the thickness of the phone as 8.5mm.

LG W series phone with triple camera at budget price set to launch in India soon

LG is set to unveil a new series of pocket-friendly smartphones i.e. LG W series in India. It appears that brands like Xiaomi, Honor, Realme has compelled other brands to choose the budget-friendly smartphone route to gain back the eroding market share. Samsung did that with their Galaxy M series devices in India and now LG is following that with LG W series devices. The company is yet to announce an official launch date but the landing page is now live on Amazon India which reveals some of the basic details about the smartphone.

The official landing page of LG W series on Amazon reveal the triple camera module along with LED flash on the rear panel, aligned vertically on the top left side. The teaser image also reveals that the phone will be available in three colours i.e. Blue, Green and Black/Grey as shown below. LG may call these colours by their own names.

LG W series triple camera 1Another image reveals that the triple camera module is AI enabled with support for different camera modes such as Normal, Front camera selfie, Night Mode, Portrait, Bokeh and Wide Angle image capabilities. The conventional fingerprint sensor is visible at the usual place on the rear panel. Antenna lines are visible at top side while the Power button & Volume rocker buttons are present on the left side.

LG W series camera detailsComing to the Display, a teaser image reveals the waterdrop display of the device that comes with option of customizing the notch or hiding the notch as per your need. AT the moment, not much is known about the hardware specifications of the phone.

The teaser page at Amazon India hints at pocket-friendly pricing of the phone and claims that it will have “Never before Prices”. This indicates that the phone may be priced around Rs. 10,000 for the base variant while the higher variant may be priced below Rs. 15,000. Stay tuned at AndroidPure and we will keep you updated.
