iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro announced in China
Vivo’s iQOO has announced 2 new flagship phones in China. The devices are called the iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro. And just like its predecessor series, the new iteration features the BMW M Motorsport racing stripes.

iQOO 8 Pro Display, Operating System
The iQOO 8 sports a 6.56-inches Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has a resolution of 2376 x 1080 pixels, 19.9:9 aspect ratio, 92.76% screen-to-body ratio, 6,00,000:1 Contrast Ratio, HDR, P3 Colour Gamut, and is home to an in-display fingerprint reader. The device runs on Android 11 with Origin OS 1.0.
iQOO 8 Processor, RAM and Storage
The flagship phone is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G mobile platform, which is assisted by an Adreno 660 for the graphics. The device will be available in two variants: 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, 12GB/256GB.

The main cameras on the back consists of a 48 megapixels Sony IMX 598 sensor, f/1.79 aperture, Optical image stabilization, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 aperture lens with a 120° FOV, a 13MP portrait sensor with an f/2.46 aperture, and an LED Flash. The front snapper is a 16MP f/2.45 aperture camera.

The iQOO 8 packs a 4,350 mAh battery that supports 120W Fast Charging over a USB Type-C port.
The handset supports 4G VoLTE, 5G mobile connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/5.1GHz/5.8GHz, Bluetooth 5.2, Beidou/GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO/QZSS. The device has a Proximity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Electronic Compass.

The iQOO 8 Pro is equipped with a 6.78-inches 2K+ AMOLED display that supports 120Hz refresh rate, has a screen resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 92.22% screen-to-body ratio, 8,00,000:1 Contrast Ratio.
The display is rated for HDR10+, P3 Colour Gamut, and features an ultrasonic 3D wide in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone runs on Origin OS 1.0 based on Android 11

iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro Price in China
The iQOO 8 price in China starts at RMB 3799 for the 8GB/128GB version, while the 12GB/256GB model costs RMB 4199. The iQOO 8 Pro has been priced at RMB 4999 for the base variant with 8GB/256GB, the 12GB/256GB version costs RMB 5499. The top-end model with 12GB/512GB carries a price tag of RMB 5999.
There is no word on the iQOO 8 India launch yet, but we expect the company to bring it to our market.
