Intex Aqua Secure with fingerprint scanner and USB Type C Charging launched for Rs.6499

Intex has launched its first smartphone with a fingerprint scanner. The device is called the Intex Aqua Secure, and despite the biometric security option, it is an entry level model.

The phone sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device is powered by a 1GHz Quad Core Mediatek processor and 1GB of RAM.

The Aqua Secure has 8GB of onboard storage, and supports upto 32GB of expandable memory via micro SD.  The photography department on the phone includes a 5 megapixel rear camera with Dual LED Flash and a 2 megapixel front camera for selfies.

The Intex Aqua Secure has a USB Type C connector for fast charging and data transfers. The phone has the finger print sensor on the back panel, and it allows you to to take selfies, unlock the phone, and also restrict access to the gallery. The Intex Aqua Secure has a matt finish back cover, and a metal frame. It comes in two colours: Gold and Grey.

The Intex Aqua Secure has been priced at Rs.6499 in India.
