Realme’s upcoming custom skin which will be closer to stock Android, could be released soon. The company has uploaded an official introductory video detailing the Realme UI features.

Realme Ui features

The first option shown in the video is Customizable Icon Style which will allow you to use 3rd party icon packs, and you can customize the shape and size as well.

Next up are animated wallpapers, which sounds like support for live wallpapers.

Dual earphone connection will be supported in Realme UI, and users can connect a wired headphone and a wireless one at the same time. It may be useful when two users are watching a video or listening to music on one device.

Smart sidebar is another of the new Realme UI features and has a side panel with quick shortcuts to apps and options to take a screenshot or record the screen content.

The edit button suggests that users will be able to customize the sidebar with their own app shortcuts.

One unique setting in the Realme UI features is the Personal Information Protection. This option will prevent apps from collecting the call history, contacts, read messages or events and instead provide empty information, i.e. no details. This will assist in maintaining the user’s privacy.

A Smart Protection toggle can be seen for this setting, which will make the new OS automatically determine whether to enable this option for newly installed apps.

Screen Off Display is another setting in the new Realme UI features, and this is basically the ambient display. This feature may be exclusive to the Realme X series devices (Realme X, XT, X2 and X2 Pro), since it requires an AMOLED screen.

Dark Mode is the last feature seen in the official video. It supports auto enabling of the setting from sunset to sunrise, but also includes a schedule option that you can set up manually. The option may also work with third-party apps.
