ZTE announces 27th October launch event, Is Axon 7 Max coming?

ZTE has just teased a new teaser from their official Weibo account announcing a launch event on October 27 in China. The company is yet to announce what they plan to launch, but the teaser says “ Witness the big phone event” which indicates that they are going to announce their next flagship device during the launch event. At the moment, Axon 7 is the flagship device from ZTE, so what will be the next device from the company? In our opinion, it is ZTE Axon 7 Max which is not a top end flagship device though, but just a mid range smartphone.

ZTE Axon 7 Max was leaked just last week in the form of real images of the alleged device in powered on condition. The leak suggested that ZTE Axon 7 Max sports a 6 inch full HD 1080p display, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system with ZTE own MiFavor UI 4.0 on top. It features a dual camera setup, but we are unaware of its configuration and camera sensors.

For reference, ZTE Axon 7  was launched in May 2016 in China and it sports a 5.5-inch 1440p WQHD AMOLED display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 along with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM. IT features a 21 MP main rear camera and a 8 MP front shooter for selfies.

At the moment, we do not have any other information about the upcoming phone. If it is something different from Axon 7 Max, we will know in coming days. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
