As reported earlier, Xiaomi has launched Mi 4 (3G, 16GB model only) in India for a price of  Rs. 19,999. Xiaomi Mi 4 will be sold via Flipkart only using the same pre-registration and flash sale model as being done with other Xiaomi smartphones like Redmi 1s and Redmi Note. Consumers can buy Xiaomi Mi 4 from 10th February after pre-registrations at flipkart which starts today from 6 PM.

The other smartphones which are priced in the same range include Lenovo Vibe X2 & One Plus one and usually this price segment is yet to get more choices for consumers. Hopefully this launch of Mi 4 will change that and give customers with a budget of Rs. 20,000 one more option to buy.

Xiaomi has only launched the 3G Model with only 16 GB storage option in India. There is no mention of  Mi 4 4G LTE model or the 64 GB model for India. Considering the fact that 4G is yet to be launched in most Indian cities and is yet get some traction, the decision to not launch Mi 4 4G LTE model can be easily understood. Another reason being, Indian smartphone market is too price sensitive.

Mi 4 was launched in China in July last year and Mi 5 global launch is most probably just a month away, yet Xiaomi may be able to sell Mi 4 quite well considering their past sell-out of smartphones inventory using the flash model.
