The Xiaomi 12 Lite has been launched globally. The mid-range 5G mobile is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G octa-core processor clocked at 2.4GHz, with an Adreno 642L GPU.
The phone runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13 out of the box, has 6GB/8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB/256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Xiaomi 12 Lite is equipped with a 6.55-inches AMOLED Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, has a pixel density of 402 PPI, 120Hz Refresh Rate, 240Hz Touch Sampling Rate. The screen supports 950 nits brightness, 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 20:9 Aspect Ratio, True Display, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, sRGB, DCI-P3. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and is home to an In-display fingerprint scanner.
The selfie lens on the display has a 32MP front camera with an f/2.45 aperture. The Xiaomi 12 Lite has triple cameras on the back, the set-up consists of a 108 megapixels primary lens, an 8MP 120° ultra-wide-angle lens, with an f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and an LED Flash.
Xiaomi has packed a 4,300mAh battery in the phone and it supports 67W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. The phone has Dual Stereo Speakers, and supports Dolby Atmos. In the connectivity department, the smartphone is capable of handling 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, WiFi 5, WiFi 4 and 802.11a/b/g 2.4GHz/ 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Beidou, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS, and A-GPS location services. The Xiaomi 12 Lite price starts at $400 (about Rs. 32,000) for the 6GB/128GB variant, the 8GB/128GB trim costs $450 (around Rs. 36,000), and the top end version with 8GB/256GB carries a price tag of $500 (about Rs. 40,000). The device is up for pre-order, and comes in three colourways: Black, Lite Green, Lite Pink.
