Samsung announces Galaxy Note 4 LTE-A powered by Snapdragon 810 (300 Mbps download speeds)

Samsung has announced a new variant of the Note 4, powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4The new phablet is LTE-A enabled. And why is this different than LTE?

Simple, the LTE-A Tri-Band is four times faster than regular 4G networks, which means that thee Galaxy Note 4 LTE-A is capable of of downloading at a jaw dropping 300 Mbps.

Samsung says that it can download a 700MB video in about 19 seconds. It also says that next year, telecom companies will provide LTE-A Category 9 with download speeds of up to 450 Mbps, and that the Note 4 LTE-A will support the network.

Apart from the change in the processor and the networking component, the rest of the internals remain the same as the original Note 4.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 LTE-A has been announced only for Korea now, with no word yet on its global availability.
