Xiaomi will be launching its next budget phone in the Redmi series, next week.

Redmi 3 January 12th

The Redmi 3, is to be unveiled on January 12th, in China.

The phone will sport a full metal body, which is 5 inches in size. The back cover of the phone has a diamond plaid pattern.

It is unclear if the device will be powered by a MediaTek chipset or a Qualcomm one. But unless Xiaomi decides to go with a MediaTek processor for the device (which it’s banned from selling in India), we could be seeing the Redmi 3 in India soon.

On a side note, the company’s next flagship phone, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be launched after the Chinese New Year, which falls on February 8th.
