The Realme 5i has just been announced in India. The device is the third model from the company, after the Realme and the Realme 5s, to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor.

To keep the pricing of the 5i low, the Chinese brand has gone with a HD+ display again, and it’s a 6.52-inches panel with a water-drop notch. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3+. The selfie lens in the notch is an 8MP snapper.

The Realme 5i runs on ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 9 Pie. The company has promised to bring Realme UI, with a near stock Android experience to the phone soon. The device comes with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a triple card tray with a dedicated microSD card slot. The device is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that charges over a micro USB port and supports 10W charging.

The Realme 5i has a fingerprint scanner on the back panel, and also boasts a quad-camera setup comprising a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture that supports Electronic Image Stabilization, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, a 2MP macro lens and an LED flash.

Instead of the company’s renowned diamond-cut pattern, the Realme 5i sports a sunrise design which makes it look like there are sun rays shining from the bottom toward the top.
