The Poco F9 Ultra and Poco F9 Pro are heading to Europe with noticeably smaller batteries than the Chinese phones they are based on, according to a leak of full specifications and pricing from German outlet WinFuture. The F9 Ultra is listed with an 8,050mAh cell and the F9 Pro with 6,330mAh — down from the Redmi K100 Pro Max’s 9,070mAh, the headline number Xiaomi’s sub-brand built its China launch around only days ago. Nothing here is official yet, so treat the whole thing as a leak until Poco says otherwise.
Poco F9 Ultra and F9 Pro lose battery capacity in the rebrand
Poco’s global F-series phones are routinely rebadged Redmi K-series flagships, and this generation is no exception: the F9 Pro maps to the Redmi K100 Pro and the F9 Ultra to the K100 Pro Max. What changes in the crossing is the battery. WinFuture, whose report carries the byline of Roland Quandt and is billed as an exclusive, lists “8050 mAh” for the F9 Ultra and “6330 mAh” for the F9 Pro. We covered the K100 Pro Max’s China launch at 9,070mAh, so the Ultra gives up roughly a thousand milliamp-hours in translation. Reported capacities for the smaller K100 Pro vary between outlets, but every figure in circulation for it sits well above the F9 Pro’s 6,330mAh.
Poco has not said why the global models would carry smaller cells, and no source in this leak offers a reason. What can be said is that global variants of Chinese flagships have repeatedly shipped with less battery capacity than their home-market versions, so this would not be a first. Buyers should read the marketing carefully — a phone sold on the strength of its Chinese sibling’s endurance reviews may not deliver the same runtime, and the spec sheet is where that difference is hiding. If battery life is the reason you are interested in an F9, wait for European review numbers rather than importing expectations from K100 coverage.

WinFuture puts the Poco F9 Pro at “mindestens 799 Euro” — at least 799 euros — for the 12GB/256GB configuration, and the F9 Ultra at “mindestens 999 Euro” for 16GB/512GB. Colour options in Europe are said to be black, white, green and red. No launch date is attached to the leak, and there is no word yet on India pricing or an India launch window, which for a Poco flagship is usually the number that matters most to a large slice of the brand’s buyers. At 999 euros for its top configuration, the F9 Ultra would be priced against genuine flagships rather than the value proposition Poco is normally sold on, which makes the trimmed battery a harder thing to wave away.
Poco has not confirmed any of these specifications, prices or names. Until it does, this is a single-sourced leak that other outlets have relayed rather than independently confirmed, not a launch.
