In recent weeks, we have seen numerous leaks and rumours about a new sub-brand of Xiaomi as “PocoPhone” appearing on the web with Pocophone F1 being the first device under the new sub-brand. Till date, there was no official word or confirmation from the company, but that changes today. Today we have an official confirmation about the new sub-brand as “POCO” from Jai Mani, Lead Product Manager, Xiaomi India.

The confirmation comes in the form of a tweet, which was later quoted by the official Xiaomi India Handle.

Let's do this! @JaiMani @GlobalPocophone Tell us more! Can't wait. https://t.co/EJ0tMoRH13

If you look at the tweet, it tags two new twitter handles i.e. @IndiaPOCO @GlobalPocophone which indicates that the new device may be launched in India and some other countries (which are yet to be named). At the moment, we got no clue on the official launch date, but we expect it to happen soon.

Thanks to numerous rumours, Bluetooth listing and recent real-life images & Hands-on video, we already know that Pocophone F1 features a 5.99-inch display having the notch with Full HD+ resolution with flagship hardware featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 6GB RAM, 64GB storage and runs on MIUI 10. It features a 12MP + 5MP dual camera module at the rear along with a 20MP front snapper. It is backed by 4,000 mAh battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.

Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
