Google Calendar on the web can now show three time zones at once, up from a limit of two. Google announced the change on its Workspace Updates blog, with the rollout starting September 25, 2026. If you juggle meetings across the US, India and Europe, that third column removes a small daily annoyance.
Where the three time zones show up
The zones appear as labeled columns down the left side of the calendar grid. They work in Day view, Week view and Custom multi-day views. Google is adding the same three-zone display to the Find a Time screen too. That means you see all three while you create or edit an event.
You can also attach your own label to each zone instead of living with raw time-zone names. Google’s own example uses SFO, NYC and ZRH. That is a genuinely useful touch for anyone whose mental model of a workday is a city, not a UTC offset.
Who gets it, and when
The feature is available to Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers and personal Google accounts. Google says there is no admin control for it, and that it is on by default for eligible accounts. Nobody needs to flip a switch in the Admin console.
The rollout runs on Google’s usual two tracks for Workspace domains:
- Rapid Release domains: gradual rollout beginning September 25, 2026, with up to 15 days for the feature to appear
- Scheduled Release domains: full rollout beginning October 12, 2026, with 1 to 3 days for the feature to appear
Web only for now
This one is a web change. Google’s post covers the browser version of Calendar and does not mention the Android or iOS apps. Phone screens are a poor fit for three parallel time columns, so a web-only launch is not surprising.
If you do not see it yet, that is expected. Workspace feature flags land in waves, and a Rapid Release account can still wait a couple of weeks for the third column to turn up.
