MIUI 12.5 Update for Mi 11 Ultra rolls out in India

Xiaomi India has announced that the MIUI 12.5 Update for Mi 11 Ultra is rolling out to users. The flagship phone debuted in the Country with MIUI 12 based on Android 11, in April 2021.

What’s new in the MIUI 12.5 Update for Mi 11 Ultra

The change log for the update says that it optimizes the performance of the system, which Xiaomi claims has 20 times more rendering power than its predecessor.  The system gestures should now work instantly without lags, and the overall experience of the OS is lighter and faster thanks to the new animations and improvements.

The release notes of the MIUI 12.5 Update for Mi 11 Ultra mentions that the download size is about 765MB. It has the version number MIUI V12.5.2.0.RKAINXM.

What's new in the MIUI 12.5 Update for Mi 11 Ultra

The stable version of the firmware from Xiaomi includes all the goodness from MIUI 12.5 including a refreshed Notes app, Super Wallpapers and more. Xiaomi India’s Chief, Manu Kumar Jain says that the update allows you to uninstall most of the system apps, aka bloatware.

The MIUI 12.5 Update for Mi 11 Ultra is rolling out in batches, and could take a few days before it is available for all users. If you haven’t received the notification for the OTA, you can navigate to the Settings > About Phone > and tap on the MIUI version to check for updates manually.
