Google Pixel 6 specs leaked alongside Pixel 6 Pro; could offer 5 years of OS updates

The technical details about Google’s 2021 flagship phones have been leaked. Here’s what we know about the Google Pixel 6 specs and the Pixel 6 Pro’s.

This is what the phone looks like according to a previous leak.

The Pixel 6 sports a 6.4-inches AMOLED display, and has 8GB of RAM, with 128GB / 256GB of internal storage. The selfie lens on the device is said to be an 8MP Snapper. Google is moving away from single cameras, and the Pixel 6 will feature a 50MP wide angle lens and an 12MP Ultra wide angle lens on the back. The phone is backed by a 4614mAh battery, which is larger than the previous generation device.

The Google Pixel 6 specs sheet leaked by Front Page Tech and Jon Prosser, does not mention the processor on the device, but the blog says the phone has a Google chipset. This is likely the rumoured Whitechapel GS101 SoC developed in-house by the search giant and Samsung. The phone has the codename Oriel.

The report claims that Google will offer 5 years of OS updates for the Google Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro, which could be because of the new processor.

Google Pixel 6 Pro

And now to the bigger phone, the Google Pixel 6 Pro sports a slightly larger display at 6.7-inches. The panel is purportedly a Plastic OLED aka P-OLED screen. The device has 12GB of RAM, 128GB / 256GB/512GB of storage.

The selfie camera on the Pixel 6 Pro is a 12MP shooter. The leaked Google Pixel 6 Pro specs tells that the phone has triple rear cameras comprising a 50MP wide angle lens, a 48MP Telephoto lens, and an 12MP Ultra wide angle lens. The handset which is codenamed Raven, packs a 5,000mAh battery.
