There are several improvements in the new version, according to the announcement made at the ColorOS forums.

What’s new in the Trial version of Android 10 update for Oppo F11, F11 Pro

ColorOS 7 brings better full-screen support and a lighter theme. The update enables the new OPPO Sans font by default.

The Smart Siderbar is more friendly for one-handed usage, and even supports Split-screen mode which you can toggle by dragging an app out of the sidebar. The assistive ball’s opacity can be manually configured, or you can choose to hide it in Fullscreen Apps. The floating window now supports more apps, and a bubble will be displayed when you open an app in a floating window. Tap the bubble to close the app.

Screenshot capturing has been improved in the Android 10 update for Oppo F11, F11 Pro and now supports 3-finger gesture touch, hold and swipe to resize it or to take a scrolling snapshot. You can now edit the screenshot preview position and set the sound effect for snapshots. The preview window can be used to share the screenshot quickly with an upward drag, or to switch to long screenshot with a downward drag. Screen recordings can now be paused, trimmed, and also has a floating window and settings.

Oppo terms the new gesture controls as Navigation Gestures 3.0. You can go back by swiping from the side, or switch to the previous app by swiping from both sides at the same time. This also works in landscape mode. There is a new system wide Dark Mode, and Android 10’s Focus Mode provides for a distraction-free experience.

The Quick Settings is more one-handed usage friendly as well, and supports dismissing notifications with a swipe. The ringtones have been optimized, and new sounds for file deletion, calculator and compass have been added. You can access the calculator from the quick settings or the smart sidebar. The battery charging and Game Space animations have been optimized. A dynamic weather ringtone is available, which adapts to the current weather.  The weather app has new adaptive animations.

The Android 10 Update for Oppo F11, F11 Pro brings with it new live wallpapers and Art+ static wallpapers. The lockscreen supports live wallpapers and has more clock styles, and a new swipe up gesture to switch the unlock method. The launcher supports customizing the homescreen icons shape, size, style. The simple Home screen mode cleans up the layout and has larger fonts and icons for a user-friendly experience.

Accessibility users can make use of the TalkBack floating prompts and Colour Accessibility Mode for using the device.

The update allows your phone to use a random MAC address when connecting to Wi-Fi networks for privacy and to avoid personalized ads.Other optimizations have been made for the Camera UI, Timer UI and sound, Album UI, Contacts UI, Search and the Soloop Video Editor.
